PCC posts another big PCAAA win over UNO

PHILIPPINE Cultural College proved its victory over defending champion Uno High School was no fluke by crushing newcomer Pace Academy, 71-37, in the juniors division of the 2nd Philippine Ching Yuen Athletic Association (PCAAA) basketball Saturday at Uno High School Gym in Tondo, Manila.
Lester Cai starred anew for the Seagulls, scoring 19 points, most of them coming in the first two quarters that set the tone for the team’s runaway win in the eight-team tournament.
Article continues after this advertisementCai had 24 points in their 65-52 win over the Uneans in the opener last Tuesday. Its Aspirants team also scored a 42-34 win over Uno High.
Saint Jude Catholic School tied PCC on top following an 87-39 drubbing of Makati Gospel Church in the other juniors game.
Streak-shooting Renzel Yongco knocked down six triples to lead the Judenites with 26 points. Maynard Yap backed him up with 10 points, five rebounds and three steals.
