Gems keep twice-to-beat bid going with rout of Wangs

MANILA, Philippines — Cebuana Lhuillier overwhelmed Wangs Basketball, 85-62, to keep its bid for a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals going in the 2015 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup on Monday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The Gems had five players in double-figures led by De La Salle big man Norbert Torres, who scored 16 points.

Cebuana Lhuillier hiked its record to 5-4 while also booting Wangs out of the playoff hunt.

Earlier, MJM ripped MP Hotel, 93-68, in a battle of eliminated teams.

The M-Builders notched their second win in a row for just their third victory in nine outings while the Warriors suffered their eighth setback in nine games.
