UNTV: Judiciary targets sweep, battles GSIS five

Judiciary goes for a sweep of its group assignment when it faces Government Services Insurance System (GSIS) today in the 3rd UNTV Cup at the Makati Coliseum.

Game time is 2 p.m. with the Magis seeking their 5th straight win in Group B elims of the tournament designed exclusively for the country’s public servants.

Despite having former PBA players in Don Camaso and Ariel Capus in their roster, the Magis will have their hands full against a resurgent GSIS crew.

GSIS is coming off a 100-87 win over defending champion Armed Forces of the Philippines last Sunday.

Meantime, the Kenneth Duremdes-mentored Senate hopes to notch its third straight win when it battles Metro Manila Development Authority in the lone Group A match at 3:30 p.m. while the Department of Justice collides with Bureau of Fire Protection in the other Group B action at 5 p.m.

With a 2-1 card, the Senate Defenders can formalize their entry into the next phase of the tournament if they prevail.
