Benilde, AU seek NC titles Friday

AFTER pulling off gutsy wins Wednesday, St. Benilde and Arellano seek their first NCAA volleyball title today in the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively, at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Blazers try to cap a stunning upset of Emilio Aguinaldo College, while the Lady Chiefs hope to finish off San Sebastian in Game 2.

Perpetual Help also tries to get the job done in the juniors division against the Lyceum Junior Pirates, whom they clobbered, 25-19, 25-19, 25-11, in the series opener.

Arellano is seeking to match its 25-18, 25-15, 20-25, 25-19, conquest of San Sebastian in Game 1. With Danna Henson again expected to deliver, the Lady Chiefs are favored to claim their first title since joining the league in 2009.
