NBA: Mavs’ Rondo out with facial fractures
Dallas, United States – Dallas Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo will miss at least three NBA games after suffering an orbital fracture to his left eye and a fractured nose, the team announced Monday.
Rondo was injured in the Mavericks’ 108-93 triumph at Orlando on Saturday and was ruled out of Monday’s home game against league-worst Minnesota and a two-game road swing to Golden State on Wednesday and Sacramento on Thursday.

Just 98 seconds into the game at Orlando, Rondo tripped and fell to the floor after a defensive move only to be kneed in the face by teammate Richard Jefferson while trying to get back up.
Rondo, who helped Boston win the 2008 NBA title, was traded by the Celtics to Dallas last month. So far this season, Rondo is averaging 8.7 points, 8.7 assists and 6.3 rebounds a game over 43 games.
