MANILA, Philippines — Outplayed late in the game in a loss last week, Rain or Shine played better in clutch this time for a 96-91 win over NLEX in the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Paul Lee flourished under pressure — scoring the last six points in the final one minute and 13 seconds of the game— for the Elasto Painters, who bounced back from an 89-86 loss to Talk ‘N Text last Wednesday.

Lee finished with 25 points while import Rick Jackson added 17 points.

“We struggled a bit in the second half. Our problem is coping up with the size of other teams,” said ROS head coach Yeng Guiao.

But down the stretch, it was the Road Warriors who had problems in stopping Lee.

Former NBA veteran Al Thornton had 28 points in his PBA debut for NLEX.
