Smart-MVP t’kwondo meet attracts top jins
MANILA, Philippines—The country’s top jins who are seeking national team slots will strut their wares in the Smart/MVP Sports Foundation/PLDT Home Bro National CPJ (Carlos Palanca Jr.) taekwondo championships for sparring and poomsae (forms) this weekend at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Among the favorites to prevail in sparring are Francis Aaron Agojo, Ronna Ilao, Mary Anjelay Pelaez and Benjamin Keith Sembrano.
The sparring (kyorugi) event will hold contests in senior (18 years and above), junior (15-17), Cadet (12-14) and grade school (11 and below) levels.

The categories are Cadet (12-14), junior (15-17), first senior 1-A (18-24), senior 1-B (25-30), senior 2 (31-40), Master (41 and above), Cadet Pair, Junior Pair, Senior Pair, Cadet Team, Junior Team, first team and second team.
The national poomsae team will see action in the June world championships in Ho Chi Minh.
