MANILA, Philippines—The Shell Eco-marathon Asia, a competition among environment-friendly cars invented by engineering students, will be held Feb. 25 to March 1 at Rizal Park in Manila.
Over 1,000 foreign delegates and visitors will arrive for the competition, which is expected to draw about 40,000 people.
“It is a big privilege for the Philippines to host such a renowned and much-anticipated event,” said Lyndon Lumain, general manager of the Shell Eco-marathon Asia.
A portion of Rizal Park will be closed off for the event.
