Carmona racetrack hosts Petron kart series

MANILA, Philippines—Flynn Jackes, Bobby Redpath, Eduardo Coseteng, Zach David and Iñigo Anton are among the young drivers tipped to grab bigger honors this year.

Carmona Circuit Philippines (CCP) looks forward to hosting their races as it celebrates its 24th year of staging the country’s premiere karting races. Among these races is the Petron Blaze 100 KF Karting Super Series which fires off this weekend.

The series will have races in Mini-ROK XCS, the KF Restricted Petron Blaze 100, Formula Cadet Novice Ultron and Formula Cadet Expert Ultron classes.

Automobile Association of Philippines (AAP) steward Jun Espino will declare the 24th season open before the parade of participating karters.

CCP project manager Rose Feria said their focus will be on the young aces, with more intensified programs for the young talents.

Jackes, Redpath and Coseteng are tagged as top favorites in both the Mini-ROK XCS and the KF Restricted Petron Blaze 100.

David is likewise a favorite in the Formula Cadet Expert Ultron division after winning all his races last year while 10-year-old Anton will compete in the Formula Cadet Novice Ultron.

Other promising drivers are John Dizon, Larco Cortez, Keith Co, Mikey Jordan, Samuel Grimes, Wils Casequin, Draeco McLelland and former Cadet Karter of the Year and AAP awardee Tai Zulberti.
