JAPANESE Toru Nakajima fired an eagle-spiked five-under-par 67 to rule the PGT Qualifying School for foreign players at the Aoki course of Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Cavite yesterday.

Nakajima, the first-round leader, carded nines of 32-35 highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 seventh hole to finish with a 287 total, the tournament’s only sub-par score and four shots clear of Koreans Lyu Hyung-suk and Seo Hyeong-dae.

Seventeen others made it to this year’s 80-plus player cast of the ICTSI Philippine Golf Tour.
