OKLAHOMA CITY, United States – NBA Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant scored 29 points while Russell Westbrook added 19 points and 11 rebounds Sunday to power Oklahoma City over the Los Angeles Clippers 131-108.
The Thunder, fighting back after early season losses when Durant and Westbrook were both hurt, improved to 26-25, only 2 1/2 games behind Phoenix for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot.
The Clippers suffered their fourth loss in a row and fell to 33-19, sixth in the Western Conference. They are 2-5 on an eight-game road trip that ends Monday at Dallas.
Mitch McGary added 19 points and 10 rebounds off the Oklahoma City bench.
Jamal Crawford led the Clippers with 21 points while Chris Paul added 18 points and 13 assists.
The Thunder dominated in rebounding 54-29, keeping NBA rebounds leader DeAndre Jordan of the Clippers to only 10.
Spencer Hawes had 17 points for the Clippers while Matt Barnes added 15.
