Mayweather posts video of meeting with Pacquiao
MANILA, Philippines — Top pound-for-pound fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. shared a video on his Instagram account of his private meeting with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather and Pacquiao recently met in the Filipino boxing superstar’s hotel suite in Miami and in the short video, the undefeated American gave a snippet of their private meeting where he was heard saying that they should definitely see each other in the ring.
Article continues after this advertisement“You know I congratulate him (Pacquiao) in his career, he had a wonderful career and I had a wonderful career, but before we leave the sport, of course we have to make this fight happen,” Mayweather said in the video as Pacquiao listened intently.
“From the looks of this video… I’m telling Manny Pacquiao that we have to give the world this fight,” said in the caption of the said clip.
The two boxing champions discussed their potential megafight that will be staged at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 2 if a deal between opposing camps could be finalized.
