Clark drag racing championship eyes big field

MANILA, Philippines—Another huge field of drag racers head back to Clark for the second leg of the 2015 Philippine Drag Racing Championship Northern Series set Feb. 14 at Clark International Speedway.

Several other big festivities coincide with the event at Clark throughout the week and drag racing director Fil Gulfin is not discounting the possibility of bettering the record 170 drivers in the drag racing season launch.

Gulfin encourages all drivers to come early to complete three qualifying runs and have enough time for necessary adjustment and finishing touches of their car set-up to ensure better title chances.

Defending champion Jonathan Tiu of JCT-Blanche Racing eyes back-to-back victories in both the Quick 8 and M&H Super Pro. Tiu is hoping to break his current Philippine drag racing record of 8.806 seconds.
