Fajardo top vote-getter for PBA 2015 All Star game

MANILA, Philippines—PBA Reigning MVP June Mar Fajardo was the lead vote-getter with 38,107 votes for the PBA All Star Game 2015 to be held in Puerto Princesa.

Hailing from Cebu, the 6-foot-10 Fajardo will lead the humongous South lineup that includes 6-foot-9 Asi Taulava (24,062 votes) and 6-foot-11 Greg Slaughter (31,310).

Making up the South backcourt are the Purefoods tandem of Mark Barroca (15,197) and two-time MVP James Yap (22,937).

Alaska head coach Alex Compton will hold the helm for the South team.

Leading the way for the North team is Purefoods Star Hotshots forward Marc Pingris, who garnered 23,947 votes.

Alaska Aces forward Calvin Abueva (22,670) and Japeth Aguilar (18,334) make up the North frontcourt.

Surprise entry Justin Melton garnered 12,312 votes will join 2012 MVP Mark Caguioa (15,076) in the North backcourt.

San Miguel Beermen head coach Leo Austria, who is fresh from winning the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup title, be the man on the bench for the North All Stars.
