MANILA, Philippines—It looks like the megafight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. may soon come to fruition.

According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, negotiations between the two welterweights will ultimately lead to a fight.

“#MayweatherPacquiao deal is nearing finish line one way or other,” Rafael posted on Twitter.

He added that two of his sources confirmed to him that papers are still not signed, contrary to earlier reports from The Telegraph.

“Two sources at this point said it is not done at this point,” Rafael said.

On Saturday late evening, The Telegraph reported that the deal is done and they cited two anonymous sources privy to the situation.

It said that Pacquiao completed the contractual negotiations and Mayweather was expected to sign for his part on the match that set to draw $250 million.

“Manny has 100 percent signed his side of the deal,” the source told Telegraph Sport. “It is now over to Mayweather to close the deal and announce the fight.”

Telegraph added that Mayweather would announce the fight in New York during the festivities of the NBA All-Star Weekend.
