MANILA, Philippines — Hapee guard-forward Ray Parks was named Most Valuable Player of the 2015 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.

The 21-year-old Parks was awarded the MVP trophy at center court before Game 1 of the best-of-three Finals between the Fresh Fighters and the top-seeded Cagayan Valley Rising Suns at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan on Monday.

Parks, a former two-time UAAP MVP as a member of the National University Bulldogs, led Hapee to a 10-1 record in the elimination round with its only loss coming at the hands of Cagayan at the buzzer.

The 6-foot-4 Parks, son of the late legendary PBA import Bobby Ray, bested Cagayan’s Fil-Tongan big man Moala Tautuaa and teammate Garvo Lanete, who was the MVP of the same conference last year for the NLEX Road Warriors, for the top individual plum.
