Pressed for more details, Mayweather said (all the talk surrounding the fight) have “just been speculations and rumors.”

“Hopefully we can make the fight happen.”

“I’m Mayweather, we have to make it happen in May.”

Pacquiao readily agreed and back door negotiations  between the two camps, with Mayweather on the A side, proceeded.

Last week, Pacquiao announced on GMA 7 that the fight is virtually a done deal and that only Mayweather’s signature on the fight contract is needed for the $250-million showdown to happen.

Mayweather is taking his own sweet time, however, and won’t be persuaded nor distracted to sign right away and earn at least $120 million.
