Gabica, Corteza gain round of 64 in World 10-Ball
MANILA, Philippines—Antonio Gabica of the Philippines beat eighth seed Liu Haitao of China, 9-3, late Tuesday then upended Karol Skowerski of Poland, 9-8, Wednesday to barge into the round of 64 in the World 10-Ball championships at SM City Mall in General Santos City.
He joined fellow Filipino Lee Van Corteza, who beat John Rebong (9-5) in the Group 4 winner’s bracket.
