American V8 muscle cars rule drag racing
AMERICAN V8 muscle cars dominated the scene as former US servicemen William “Bill” Hand and John Ryzia steered the Angeles City Hot Rod Association (AHRA)-Garage Power to a 1-2 finish recently in the second leg of the 2015 Philippine Drag Racing Championship Northern Series at Clark International Speedway.
Hand captured the Quick 8 crown with Ryzia placing second as the V8 muscle cars showed their supremacy over the modern six cylinders in the races sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines.
The last time Hand and his car named “Blue Haze,” a fiberglass replica of the 1932 Ford Roadster, won was three years ago, also in the second leg of the Northern Series.

JCT-Blanche top gun Jonathan Tiu experienced engine problems against Ryzia, who sealed an all-American finals with his classic Camaro named “Thunder.”
