MANILA, Philippines—All’s well that end’s well.

Despite crashing out of final four contention, University of the Philippines head coach Gerry Yee said the UAAP Season 77 women’s volleyball tournament was an “ok” run.

Yee said that he was satisfied with what his Lady Fighting Maroons did trough the course of their 21-month program.

“You can see that we improved throughout the course of the season,” Yee said after UP lost to National University 25-21, 25-16, 25-15 Sunday at the Arena in San Juan.

UP had a chance to play for the fourth seed had it won against NU and force a playoff with Far Eastern University and, if they win against the Lady Tamaraws, University of Santo Tomas.

“I’m ok with what they did this season,” Yee said.

The Lady Maroons finished with five wins against nine losses.
