MANILA, Philippines — Meralco Bolts import Josh Davis is listed as day-to-day with a severe muscle contusion, according to team manager Paolo Trillo.

Davis took a hard fall in the second quarter of Meralco’s blowout loss to San Miguel Beer on Saturday in a PBA out-of-town match in Cagayan de Oro and did not return.

“We got the X-ray and MRI results and he has severe muscle contusion,” Trillo told INQUIRER.net. “He’s in a lot of pain because of the swelling and spasms.”

Trillo said he hopes the hardworking Davis, who led Meralco to a franchise-best 5-0 start before losing to San Miguel, will be able to suit up on Friday when the Bolts take on the NLEX Road Warriors.

The 6-foot-8 Davis is averaging 20 points, 17 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 1.3 blocks per game through six games.
