MANILA, Philippines—Taiwanese Ko Pin-yi withstood Carlo Biado’s mighty rally to muster an 11-9 victory to crown himself 2015 World 10-Ball champion Saturday night at SM City Mall in General Santos City. The 26-year-old Ko, a former world junior champion, built a 9-2 lead, only to find Biado clawing back at 9-8. Ko held his ground to bag the MP Cup and the $40,000 (about P1.7M) top prize bankrolled by Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.
