MANILA, Philippines — To the rest of the world, it’s the fight of the century. But to Floyd Mayweather Jr., his May 2 bout with Manny Pacquiao is “just another fight.”

Pacquiao may be considered as his most accomplished opponent yet but as far as his legacy is concerned, Mayweather doesn’t think he needs Pacquiao to add to his resumé.

“Well, I don’t feel that one fight defines my legacy,” Mayweather told fghthype.com. “To me, it’s just another day. It’s just another fight.”

Mayweather also sees that he has every bit of advantage over Pacquiao when the two welterweight world champions finally collide on May 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“I mean, when you just look at the tale of the tape, I have a longer reach, I’m taller, I’m stronger, and I’m more accurate,” he said.

And while Mayweather doesn’t believe that his legacy is at stake, three belts are actually up for grabs including his WBC and WBA titles, and so are his perfect 47-0 record and status as the top pound-for-pound fighter.
