Pacquiao mourns passing of grandmother

MANILA, Philippines—Manny Pacquiao’s grandmother Cristina Dapidran passed away last February 18. She was 92.

In an Instagram post, Pacquiao posted photos of her grandmother’s wake in General Santos City.

“We will miss you Lola Cristina Mejia Dapidran. R.I.P Lola…We missed you Lola,” the caption, accompanied by a verse from Ecclesiastes, read.

Aside from light training, Pacquiao spent his last few days in his hometown among family and friends at the wake held at St. Peter Chapels.

Mrs. Dapidran is survived by Pacquiao’s mother Dionesia and six other children, according to a report from Philboxing.com.

Pacquiao is expected to fly to Los Angeles this week to start his training for the megabout against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
