Still-hurting Global eleven favored vs Army

MANILA, Philippines–Global tries to shrug off a disappointing AFC Cup debut as it resumes its campaign in the United Football League against lowly Army Saturday at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Top of the table with 10 points from four matches, Global is picked to coast to a fourth win against an Army side that has lost its first two matches.

Powerhouse Loyola Meralco faces its toughest test yet against Stallion in the 8:15 p.m. kickoff.

The Sparks finally found their stride with a 4-0 rout of Manila Jeepney last Sunday.

But Stallion has proven to be a tough nut to crack with its formidable lineup and the return to form of skipper Balot Doctora. Stallion barely bowed to Global, 2-1, last Saturday.

The Sparks have coped well without the injured Phil Younghusband in their first three matches. The striker could be fit to play today.
