MANILA, Philippines—Host Malolos Mighty-Bulacan State U and Pampanga Foton Tornadoes posted contrasting wins at the Filsports Basketball Association (FBA) at Malolos Sports and Convention Center on Saturday.
Ernest Reyes nailed a buzzer-beater to lift the Mighty to a 98-96 overtime escape over the Antipolo Pilgrims, while Levi Hernandez buried 30 points to tow the Tornadoes to a 97-82 thumping of the Quezon City-UP Diliman Fighting Maroons.
Dominic Fajardo powered the Mighty with 41 points, while Reyes finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. The FBA is led by commissioner Vince Hizon and league president LJ Serrano.
