Mosley predicts Mayweather will win over ‘better fighter’ Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines—Another boxing icon, another two cents.

Shane Mosley joined the list of retired boxers who gave their analysis and predictions on the mega fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“I see that Mayweather wins the fight. I think it goes 12 rounds,” Mosley told Fox Sports Live in a recent interview. “I think Mayweather’s going to out-point Pacquiao by moving, evading punches, and being able to do combinations and stuff like that.”

Pacquiao and Mayweather will finally settle their rivalry on May 3 (Manila time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“It’s kind of hard to say, but right now I’ve been sticking with Mayweather,” Mosley said.

He added that Mayweather has the advantage because of Money’s similarity to Juan Manuel Marquez who knocked out Pacquiao.

“Marquez knocked Pacquiao out and Mayweather had a fairly easy time with Marquez, moving and evading punches.”

Mayweather and Marquez are both defensive boxers capitalizing on quick counterpunching.

Mosley also warned Pacquiao of Mayweather’s surprising power, saying that the undefeated American “is a better technician” compared to the Pacman who, Mosley said, was the “better fighter.”

“[Pacquiao] he’s a fighter.”
