Ateneo’s Espejo named UAAP Men’s Volleyball MVP anew

MANILA, Philippines–Ateneo’s super sophomore Marck Espejo was once again named as the MVP of the UAAP Men’s Volleyball Tournament.

Espejo also took the Best Spiker award when he finished the elimination round with a 50.98% success rate on his attacks.

Mark Alfafara of the University of Santo Tomas was the UAAP’s Best Scorer for Season 77 finishing with 289 total points.

National University’s lanky talisman Peter Torres, the son of Radyo Inquirer’s Jupiter Torres, was the Best Blocker of the season after averaging .78 successful blocks per set.

Torres’ teammate Vince Mangulabnan was the Best Server with .35 service aces per set.

Adamson libero Rence Melgar was named both Best Digger and Best Receiver.

Melgar finished the season averaging 2.47 digs per set.

Ish Polvorosa of Ateneo was the Best Setter for Season 77.

Edward Camposano, the youngster from University of the East, was the Rookie of the Year.
