Masbate rodeo festival finals build-up starts

MANILA, Philippines—The most anticipated rodeo action in the  country kicked off last month at the Capitol Football Ground of  Masbate City, signaling the official countdown to the Rodeo Festival 2015 slated April 5 to 19.

The National Rodeo Finals will run from April 14 to 19.

The finals events will include bull whipping, load carrying relay, cattle wrestling on foot, cattle wrestling from horseback, cattle lassoing from horseback, carambola, casting down and bull riding.

Officers of Rodeo Masbateno Inc. (RMI), led by its president Judge Manuel Sese, attended the event.  Members of the  provincial and city government, officials, ranchers, bankers, businessmen and other supporters of the annual Festival also came.

Other highlights of the kickoff are the signing of the memorandum of agreement among RMI and its supporters led by Masbate Gov. Rizalina Seachon, Masbate City Mayor Rowena Tuason, Filiminera and DMCI officials and the unveiling of the Rodeo Festival logo.
