MANILA, Philippines — The Filipino Wrecking Machine Mark Muñoz has been added to the UFC Fight Night Manila scheduled on May 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

UFC Asia executive vice president Ken Berger himself made the big announcement during the On-Sale press conference on Tuesday at the Solaire Hotel and Casino in Parañaque City.

Muñoz is pitted against English fighter Luke Barnatt as part of the stacked undercard of the Frankie Edgar-Urijah Fabe headliner.

“It feels really good. I’ve been wanting this to happen since I’ve been to the UFC,” Muñoz told reporters.

The Fight Night in Manila is also the only UFC card in Southeast Asia this year.

Muñoz has lost three consecutive fights all in the first round but he will definitely get a big boost from the hometown crowd.

Berger also announced that UFC’s legendary announcer Bruce Buffer will also be in Manila.
