Blue Eagles clinch UAAP baseball crown

Matt Laurel capped a celebrated collegiate stint with another crown as Ateneo edged rival La Salle, 3-2, yesterday to capture a third straight UAAP baseball title at Rizal Memorial Stadium. Laurel collected the awards for Best Slugger, Most Home Runs and Most RBIs after leading the Blue Eagles’ series sweep of the Green Batters, 2-0. Meanwhile, the La Salle’s women’s volleyball team lost another player to injury, Camille Cruz, in Game 1 of the Finals, days after star Ara Galang suffered the same fate. Jasmine W. Payo
