Army, Navy paddlers top Seasports fest
Philippine Army kept the men’s Open championship for the fourth straight year, while Fleet Marine from the Philippine Navy copped both the women’s and mixed Open titles in the dragon boat races of the recent 2015 Manila Bay Seasports Festival.
Among the motorized bancas, Jerin Pasignalin of Cadiz City, piloting “Lourd Cedric” sped to first place in the formula race, while Agoo, La Union, ruled the Stock Race, capturing three of the top four finishers, led by Ruben Quero, on board “Angielyn” who emerged champion.
The Manila Bay Seasports Festival was presented by Manila Broadcasting Company and the City of Manila, in cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard, Cobra Energy Drink, The Generics Pharmacy, Revicon, M. Lhuillier, Cignal, My Juiz, and Herco, distributor for Briggs and Stratton.
