Team Mazda Skyactiv grabbed the overall lead with 89 points after topping several events in the second leg of the Auto Review Road Safety Olympics recently at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Seatbelts checked in second with 80 points, while Pasig Amazing Brakes amassed a 78-point total to round out the top three in the multi-sport event that aims to promote road safety awareness.
Team Mazda ruled the basketball event with a 63-54 triumph over Pasig and also topped the Philippine Global Road Safety Partnerships (PGRSP) games and the Amazing Race Road Safety contest with a total of 82 chips.
“Through sports, we are able to somehow leave a mark in the minds of the participants about the importance of road safety,” said Auto Review producer Ron de los Reyes.
The Philippine Sportswriters Association took the volleyball honors, while the MMDA bagged the cheering crown.
