ABS-CBN, GMA, TV 5, Solar to broadcast Pacquiao-Mayweather fight

As the biggest fight in boxing history sets up, the Philippines’ biggest television networks will team up to broadcast the historic bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

According to Solar Sports, the four networks ABS-CBN, GMA, TV5, and Solar will team up for one massive broadcast.

Solar CEO Wilson Tieng said the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is the big one they have been waiting for.

He added that it has been Pacquiao’s wish for all the Filipinos to see the fight.

“It has been Manny’s wish for all to watch his fight,” Tieng said in a press conference.

Pacquiao and Mayweather will finally fight on May 2 (May 3 in Manila) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the unification of the WBA, WBO, and WBC welterweight titles.

Their fight has endured a five-year saga and came fruition after an accidental meeting at an NBA game in Miami. ID
