Will Manny Pacquiao be the “one” in “47-1?”
Well, his Hall of Fame trainer believes so.
Speaking to Bleacher Report, Freddie Roach believes that Pacquiao will triumph over Floyd Mayweather Jr. when the two fighters square up on May 2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
“On May 2nd, Floyd will be known as Mr. 47-1,” Roach said.

He added that Pacquiao has a little spice for his fight against Mayweather, because Money is the first opponent that the Pacman hates.
“This is the first time in my life that Manny Pacquiao will face an opponent he does not like,” Roach said. “Manny is a good guy, he likes everybody, but he doesn’t like Mayweather.”
With the loose-cannon Pacquiao ready to fire at his side, Roach warned that Mayweather will be in trouble.

He cites Mayweather’s decline in speed, a trait the undefeated American has relied on so much.

“The thing is, Floyd is hittable,” Roach said. “Five years ago, Floyd was so fluid, he can move really well, he’s very difficult to fight, now he has slowed down a bit, and his legs are not the way they were.”
“We can beat him, he has slowed down. Floyd is not the same fighter as he once was.”
