Tornadoes seek four-game FBA sweep versus Warriors

Top meets bottom as unbeaten Pampanga Foton faces winless Laguna today at the resumption of the Filsports Basketball Association (FBA) Unity Games at Angeles University Foundation gym in Pampanga.

With former Arellano University standout Levi Hernandez on the firing end, the Foton Tornadoes won their first three games in convincing fashions to seize the early lead in the five-team field.

They gun for a sweep against the Laguna Busa Warriors in their 5:30 p.m. encounter.

The Warriors, meanwhile, are going all-out in an attempt to stop the Tornadoes and snap their three-game skid in the league headed by commissioner Vince Hizon and president LJ Serrano.

Metro Racal, mentored by former Letran hotshot Ronjay Enrile, takes on Malolos Mighty Bulacan State University in the 3:30 p.m. opener.

Metro Racal and Malolos are tied at 2-1 and occupy a share of second spot.

The winner will wrest solo second spot or a share of the leadership in case of a Laguna reversal.

The fledgling league is an associate member of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

The matches are being aired over People’s Television Network (PTV4) from Monday to Friday starting at 3 p.m.
