Pacquiao fight about legacy and children’s future, says Mayweather

MANILA, Philippines—Floyd Mayweather Jr., will, for once, not live up to his Money nickname and it’s on the biggest fight of his life.
Speaking to mlive.com Mayweather said that his fight against Manny Pacquiao on May 3 (Manila time) at MGM Grand Garden Arena is for the legacy that he will leave in the sport and for the reputation of his children.
“When you’re young, you look at everything like you want nice cars, you want jewelry, you want a big house,” the 38-year-old Mayweather said.

“But once you’ve been living like that for so long, it’s not really about that anymore. It’s about my children, the legacy, them getting the best education.”

Mayweather has four children, sons Zion Shamaree and Koraun, and daughters Iyanna and Jirah.
“That’s what’s mainly important to me. I don’t worry about the fight because I know what I can do and I know what I bring to the table.”
Mayweather is guaranteed to earn $120 million in the fight and Pacquiao has a sure $80 million.
