NBA: Clippers send Lakers to club record 56th loss

LOS ANGELES — Blake Griffin bagged 18 points and Chris Paul chipped in with 15 assists as the Los Angeles Clippers crushed the hapless Los Angeles Lakers 106-78 on Sunday.

DeAndre Jordan finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and four steals for the Clippers, who never trailed against the Lakers and led by as many as 43 points.

Wesley Johnson had 16 points for the Lakers, whose downward spiral continues as they set a franchise record with their 56th loss of the NBA season.

Matt Barnes helped pace the Clipper attack with 14 points, while J.J. Redick and Hedo Turkoglu added 12 points apiece in the rout.
