Petron tossers repulse Cignal, nail 4th win

Petron recovered from a troubled opening set to down Cignal, 23-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-11, last night in the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference at Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna (See first game story on A22). The Blaze Spikers leaned on their offensive strength to repulse the HD Spikers, who took the first set through the heroics of rookie Carmela Tunay. But Petron came back from the second set on to nail its fourth victory in as many games. The HD Spikers fell to 1-3.
