Less than three weeks before the much-anticipated fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3 (Philippine time), the Filipino boxing legend released a four-minute video for his song, “Lalaban Ako Para sa Filipino.”

The video, which was released on Pacquiao’s official Facebook account on Monday, featured shots of his past fights and his training for the highly-anticipated boxing fight against the undefeated Mayweather in between scenes of marginalized Filipinos and victims of natural disasters.

The lyrics of the song expresses Pacquiao’s desire to dedicate his upcoming fight to his fellow Filipinos.

“Lalaban Ako Para sa Filipino” was composed by Lito Camo and will be used as his entrance song for the “fight of the century.”

A GMA 7 report said that it was the Sarangani representative himself directed the video.

As of 2:44 p.m., the video has gained more than 934,000 views and “liked” by more than 56,000 Facebook users. AJH/DPL
