JUDICIARY erupted for six triples in a crucial third quarter run en route to beating Malacañang, 89-71, Sunday to move within a win of ruling the 3rd UNTV Cup Sunday at Ynares Sports Center.

Former PBA player Don Camaso starred in that rampage, knocking down three of his four triples to give the Magis the lead for good, 64-44, in Game 1 of their best-of-three title series.

The 6-foot-6 Camaso finished with 22 points on 7-of-20 shooting.  He also grabbed seven rebounds.

Judiciary can wrap up the title with another win on April 28, the same day the UNTV All-Star team battles Team Skywalker in a fund-raising tournament for PBA great Samboy Lim who is recovering from a heart attack.

Meanwhile, deposed champion Armed Forces of the Philippines downed Senate, 98-87, to salvage third spot.
