BRETT Munson of the United States underscored his readiness for the $60,000 ADT-ICTSI Eagle Ridge Invitational after powering his team to victory in the traditional pro-am yesterday at the Aoki course of the golf complex in Gen. Trias, Cavite.
Munson, one of nine former leg winners on the Asian Tour’s farm circuit, is among the players to watch in the 72-hole event that starts today and offers $10,500 to the champion.
Antonio Lascuña, Angelo Que and Miguel Tabuena spearhead the local challenge as they try to exploit their familiarity of the layout.
Together with amateurs Arnel Paras, Roger Crespo and Rey Santos, Munson helped his squad post a 19-under 53 with the team of pro Cassius Casas and Bobby Chico, Brian Kim and Raymond Bunquin finishing second two shots back.
Lascuña is seeking a first victory for the season after finishing in the top 10 in the first two legs won by Tabuena at Splendido in Tagaytay and Que at Eastridge in Binangonan, Rizal.
