“Floyd Mayweather is going to try to take Manny Pacquiao’s head off,” Ellerbe said. “You can count on that happening, too. Floyd Mayweather is looking to finish him off.”

Mayweather hosted a media day workout on his gym in Las Vegas before he locks down for the final stretch of his training for his welterweight unification match against Pacquiao where they will wage the WBC, WBA, and WBO Welterweight titles.

During a press-conference outside his gym, Mayweather said that he is treating Pacquiao as just another opponent and that he will easily adapt to the southpaw’s tactics.

“We’ll see what he brings to the table,” Mayweather said. “Our styles are totally different. I fight with smarts. Every move is calculated. Every move is thought out. I’m always 5-10 steps ahead of my opponent.”

He added that Pacquiao does not change styles while fighting and the eight-division World Champion will be facing a solid welterweight, a jab that has haunted Pacquiao since his move to the division in 2009.

“I don’t know if he can make adjustments,” he said. “I’m able to make adjustments. He comes at different angles so we’ll have to see. But he’s facing a solid, strong welterweight.”
