Hapee and Café France seek their third straight victories when they square off with separate rivals in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Badly needing reinforcements, the Fresh Fighters clash with the dangerous Kera Mix Mixers at 3 p.m., after the Bakers square off with the MP Hotel Warriors at 1.
The Fresh Fighters, who ruled the Aspirants Cup, dropped their first game before rebounding resoundingly in wins over Liver Marin and AMA University.
The Bakers’ campaign follows a similar trend, winning two games in a row after bungling a huge lead in an 85-86 loss to Cebuana Lhuillier last March 26.
Café France is actually returning to action after a 10-day break and coach Egay Macaraya is confident that the layoff will work wonders for the Bakers.
The Warriors, whose core comes from NCAA team Letran, are looking to bounce back from a 68-82 loss to Liver Marin last week.
Hapee coach Ronnie Magsanoc expects a dogfight against the Mixers.
“They have the tools to compete against any team,” said Magsanoc.
