Floyd Mayweather Jr., the great boxer with a 47-0 record, is ready to hang up his gloves.
The 38-year-old Mayweather said that he will fulfill his six-fight contract with Showtime to end his career and he chose September to be the month of his last fight which he wants to happen in MGM Grand Garden Arena.
That leaves his mega fight against Manny Pacquiao as his penultimate one.
Mayweather said that he doesn’t find boxing “fun” anymore, saying that the sport that became his lifeblood “is all business.”
“I’m pretty much done with all this. It’s not fun like it was back then. It’s business now. I don’t really enjoy it any longer. [I’ll fight a] final one at the MGM Grand in September,” Mayweather told select reporters during his media workout.
Mayweather, who first retired in 2009 before his fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, will fight Pacquiao on May 2 (US time) at MGM Grand Garden Arena to unify the WBC, WBO, and WBA Welterweight titles in a match between their generation’s best boxers.IDL
