Maica Cortez finished with a team-high 15 points but it was Sofie Felisarta who struck hardest in the payoff period, scoring five of her 12 points to help the Tigresses scuttle the Lady Warriors’ fightback.
With the win, UST forged a three-way tie for second to fourth places with UE and Ateneo-San Miguel Corp. at 4-4.
CEU-CaféFrance clinched the No. 1 seed in the semifinals of the tournament by downing Far Eastern University-Multi Motors, 64-57.
Led by Cristine Caranto’s 15 points, CEU-Café France improved to 7-1.
In the other game, Adamson outsteadied Ateneo-San Miguel Corp., 71-62.
