Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are ready for their May 2 mega fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. So is the Inquirer group.

As one of the Philippines’ leading media organizations, Inquirer will use multiple platforms to cover boxing’s most expensive fight.

PDI News Editor Jun Engracia, PDI Assistant Sports Editor Francis T.J. Ochoa, PDI Sports Writer Roy Luarca, PDI Chief Photographer Rem Zamora, and INQUIRER.net Sports Writer Mark Giongco will be in Las Vegas to bring the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight to different platforms.

Radyo Inquirer will also be in the mix providing the lowdown on the much-anticipated fight.

Inquirer will also bring its coverage to different chat apps.

Engracia, Luarca, and Zamora are already in Los Angeles covering Pacquiao, while Luarca also attended Mayweather’s media day workout in Las Vegas on Wednesday (Manila time).

“We will give every bit of information to our readers and listeners,” Engracia said when he talked with Radyo Inquirer’s Jake Maderazo Friday. “We will give every bit of color. Kulang na lang maamoy yung pagkain na kinakain niya, malasahan mo. Yung pawis niya maexperience mo, ganun binabalak naming gawin.”

Engracia added that the coverage will be 24 hours from now.

Just as Pacquiao and Mayweather prepare, Inquirer sends its most experienced Pacquiao writers in Luarca and Ochoa while the event will be a baptism of fire for Giongco, who will be assigned to the Mayweather camp.

“This will be a knockout coverage,” Engracia said.

Ochoa and Giongco will fly to the United States on Saturday.
