Asian gymnastics chief presides over Manila meet

TOP GYMNASTICS officials from 15 countries will plot the course and activities of gymnastics in the continent starting today when the Asian Gymnastics Union meets at New World Hotel in Makati.

Asian federation president Abdulrahman Al-Shathri of Qatar, who arrived yesterday together with secretary general Mohammad Saeed, will preside over the meetings.

This is the first major session of the Asian gymnastics body in the country since it was formed 51 years ago on the sidelines of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
