Petron eyes Superliga sweep

Petron will try to sweep the eliminations against a team seeking to reach the last automatic semifinal slot Monday in the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference at Cuneta Astrodome.

Already assured of a semis ticket, the Blaze Spikers go for a  10-game sweep at 6:15 p.m. against the second-running Shopinas (5-3) which needs a win to advance outright.

Foton (4-4),  still in the race for the second semifinal slot, faces  Cignal (1-7) at 4:15 p.m. while Philips Gold (4-5) and Mane ‘n Tail (2-6) collide in the 1:30 p.m. curtain-raiser.

Once the automatic semifinalists are decided, the last four teams slug it out with No. 3 battling  No. 6 and No. 4 facing No. 5, for the last two semis places.  Marc Anthony Reyes
