Adamson stays alive in Dickies Cup

ADAMSON stunned early semifinalist Centro Escolar University-CaféFrance, 74-71, and revived its own Final Four bid in the Smart-PCABL 4th Dickies Cup held over the weekend at Philippine Buddhacare gym in Quezon City.

Janelle de Castro scored 7 of her 11 points in the payoff period as the Lady Falcons outscored the Lady Scorpions, 21-10, to notch their fourth win in five matches and tie University of the East for the No. 4 spot.

Despite the loss, CEU remained on top with a 7-2 record in the tournament backed by CW Home Depot, Powerhouse, K-Tech Sports, Inc., Dickies Underwear and Jumbo Plastic Linoleum.

For Adamson to advance, it must beat Far Eastern U-Multimotors today and hope that CEU beats UE.
